(1) 관계대명사 대신에 쓰는 that
(제한적 용법으로 쓰인) 관계대명사는 that으로 바꿀 수 있습니다.
⓵ They are the soldiers who/that fought the battle. (주격)
그들은 군인들이다/ 그 전투에서 싸웠던.
⓶ These are the books which/that you should read. (목적격)
이것은 책들이다/ 당신이 읽어야 하는.
(2) 관계대명사 that만 쓰는 경우
⓵ (선행사가) 사람+사물
The bomb blow up the people and buildings that stood there.
폭탄은 사람과 건물을 날려버렸다/ 그곳에 있던.
⓶ 특정한 선행사
- 최상급, 서수, all, every, some 등이 올 때
It was the worst explosion that struck the nation.
그것은 최악의 폭발이었다/ 그 나라를 강타한.
⓷ 의문사가 앞에 올 때
Who is the boy that won the prize?
누구냐/ 상을 탄 소년은?
