another, other, others (의미 차이)

another, other, others 

이번 시간에는 another, other, others에 대하여 공부해 보겠습니다. 

셋 다 ‘다른’ 이라는 의미를 가지고 있지만 용법이 다릅니다. 

용법 정리

용법을 정리해 보겠습니다.

(1) another + 단수명사

(2) another + 수사 + 복수명사

(3) other + 수사 + 복수명사

(4) others(명사) : 다른 사람들

another

기본적으로 another 다음에는 단수명사가 옵니다. 

그렇지만 another 다음에 수사가 올 때는 복수를 취할 수도 있습니다. 

예문을 보겠습니다.

(1-2) A: Do you want to have another drink?

          (한 잔 더 할래?)

       B: Another drink?

          (한 잔 더?)

          No, I want to have another three drinks!

          (천만에, 세 잔 더해야 겠어!)

other 

(3) other + 복수명사

    Do you have any other questions?

    (다른 질문들 있나요?

others

(4) others (other people) (다른 사람들)

    You should be kind to the others.

    (다른 사람들에게 친절해야 한다)
